Pamper Sunday (my current pamper routine)

If I have no plans on a sunday, I like to give myself a little pamper to set me up for the week ahead, whether it be a 10 minute nail painting session, or a full on head to toe pampering.
I must admit, my pamper routine is a bit all over the place regarding the products I use because we are in between seasons (or we were when i made the video) !

I have found the links for as many things as I could,
enjoy! x

Holiday Preparation #2 - Skin Care

These are products ive been using in my usual routine, but as with my haircare preparations (here) ive stepped it up to ensure my skin is the best it can possibly be for a week in the sun!

Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed Face Mask £11 - here

I usually use this once or twice a week, but in the run up to my holiday ive been using this every third day. The beauty of this is that you can use as much or as little as you want, depending on what sort of a week your skin is having (i usually use a grape sized amount which is what is recommended). It states you can either wash it off straight away or leave it for a few minutes - i actually leave this on until it dries, which could be 30-40mins to get the most out of it.

Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Wash £2.99 - here

I simply apply a grape sized amount of this over my face and neck twice daily (be careful - it stings like a bitch if you get it in your eyes) and although i dont really feel like its 'deep action' (theres no exfoliant in it) it leaves my face feeling fresh and smelling minty - if you like that sort of thing.

Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing lotion £2.89 - here

This my holy grail product - i knew i was going to use no other cleanser in my holiday prep. After ive washed my face i apply a small amount to a cotton pad and smooth over my face and neck, paying particular attention to any blemishes.

Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser £3.39 - here

This is the perfect summer moisturiser - its light, cooling and sinks in straight away. I use this once or twice a day after cleansing.

Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On £4 - here

Ive accumulated dark circles from working unsocial hours, so this is a life saver in the run up to holiday! I apply this twice a day after all the steps above, leaving my eyes feeling refreshed and cooled (lovely on these warm summer nights!)

Ive tried not to use too many skincare products as i dont believe in overloading, and luckily ive managed to find the right balance that works for me.

Id love to hear about your skincare preparations/routines!

Holiday Preparation #3 coming soon!

Tea Tree Skincare Review

Now that I've used up all these products i feel in a fair place to review them.

These are very fairly priced (£2.99 each from Superdrug) - very purse friendly indeed!

Before i start ill just say i have normal/dry skin, and although tea tree isn't always recommended for this skin type, i was having a little problem with blemishes, and this is renowned for its spot tackling qualities!
The smell of all 3 products is AMAZING, i could easily sit and smell it all day. This was definitely one of my favourite things about this range - plus we all know tea tree is good for your skin!

Foaming Face Wash
As far as packaging goes, this is the coolest of the 3! In the bottle it appears as a liquid, but you press the top and it dispenses as a foam. I like this idea because you know you're using the right amount of product, and it also makes it last FORVER (i think a little bit of liquid must make a lotta foam!)
It says to use 1 or 2 pumps, but i found 2 dried my skin out slightly. This face wash made my face squeaky clean, and you know when you can really feel something working?
I don't think any other product has made my face feel so clean!

Cleanser and Toner
A cleanser and toner in one = less faff on = right up my street!
If you're a little crappy at sticking to an elaborate skin routine, then something like this would be perfect for you, as it cuts down the number of steps.
I would always apply this with a cotton pad, and its glides onto the skin smoothly, and as with the foam wash you can feel it getting into your skin.
If you're having a particularly dry skin day, or are in a rush, you could actually skip this step, because the face wash does such a good job, that your face is already squeaky clean and refreshed.

Moisturiser
Of all 3 products, this was the least pleasing. Yes it did the job - it left my face feeling moisturised, soft, and smelling of tea tree, but i think you could easily use another moisturiser, and still reap all the benefits of the other products. So if you're on a budget, you could get away with just buying the foam wash and 2 in 1 cleanser and toner. (in my opinion of course)
The formula is quite thin, so if you've got dry skin this just might not cut it.
I was disappointed at the fact that because of the design of the packaging (its like a pump bottle) once you're 3/4 of the way down, its impossible to retrieve anymore product, therefore a lot gets wasted - NOT my style!

Overall
This is a skincare routine i found extremely easy to stick to, and as far as price goes, this is definitely the best value for money skincare range I've ever tried.
If you've got dry skin however, i wouldn't recommend this as it can be quite drying, and tea tree is usually recommended for people with oily skin anyway.
I used all 3 products until they ran out, however, the moisturiser didn't really last too long, and next to run out was the cleanser. The foam wash was still going strong months down the line!
Id say for every one bottle of foam wash, you'd need 2 cleanser and toners, and 3 moisturisers, which is pretty silly on the manufactures part. If you made the moisturiser bigger for example, it'd last as long as the other products.

I probably will repurchase these, and they are definitely on my list of favourite products - next time ill just have to buy a few more of everything!

May Favourites

I only have a select number of favourites this month - slightly different from my usual mass of things!
So without further ado...

Soap & Glory Face Soap

This has been my all time favourite this month. I previously tried this a couple times over the winter, but it dried my skin out so much i just couldn't continue. Seen as the summer solves this problem for me and i couldnt see this product go to waste, i decided to use it once again.
I LOVE this product! The smell is amazing, and it no longer dries my skin out, so i may just have to repurchase this for over summer.

Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion

This is my holy grail of skincare - i LOVE it and decided to go back to this after my tea tree cleanser ran out. It doesn't dry out my skin, it attacks blemishes, and leaves my feeling really refreshed - i love using this in the morning!

Garnier BB Cream - Shade Light

The warmer weather means i want a base for my face which gives light coverage, and a colour which isn't too obvious when my face tans - this product is just PERFECT for that

MUA Clear Mascara - Shade 1

I can't believe i actually took a picture of this as its pretty rank (it used to be clear!)
I use this to set my eyebrows, however seen as my hair is now lighter (blogpost to follow) i haven't been filling them in. Instead i just set them with this clear mascara, which works brilliantly as a brow gel.

Wet n Wild Beauty Benefits Blusher

I have loved this product for AGES, but it somehow got lost in the bottom of my drawer! Since switching up my makeup storage, i have rediscovered this product this month, and realised why i loved it.

17 Mirror Shine Lipstick - Shade Belle

I recently discovered these amazing little lipsticks (Thanks to Laura-Jayn) and i now have a few of them. This colour goes on really quite sheer (nowhere near as dark as the photo) and its perfect for a subtle makeup look on a day when its sunny and warm and you just can't be bothered!

So they were my favourites this month - there wasn't many, but i didn't want to rave about the same products i always do! Now I'm back into the swing of blogging, expect much more posts from me - i have lots of things lined up!

REVIEW - FAB face cleanser (glossy box)

I recently received this product in my festive GlossyBox, which was perfect timing really as I really wanted to begin a new skincare regime. I have been using this twice a day since the beginning of January (even though its only a small bottle its gone really far - and I've still got a good amount left!) and yes i have noticed a difference in my skin. This is the best face wash/cleanser thing I've used in regards to getting my face really clean. When i use my toner after this, the cotton pad is the cleanest its ever been, which has also had a knock on effect on the condition of my skin - i now have noticeably few blemishes which is great.

Now for the negatives - my main niggle with this product is the smell, or lack of it. A face wash/cleanser always wins me over if i like the smell, especially if its a fresh zesty smell to wake me up on a morning! This cleanser is pretty much scentless (is that even a word?!), although if you really sniff, theres a really plain, almost industrial smell. Its really hard to describe, but those of you who also received this product will know what i mean!

Due to the price and lack of fragrance, i would not purchase this product full size. However, having said that, i am in love with the way it really cleans my skin and leaves it fairly soft, and if i do find that no other face cleanser cleans my face to this degree, i may turn back to it...
