Tea Tree Skincare Review

Now that I've used up all these products i feel in a fair place to review them.

These are very fairly priced (£2.99 each from Superdrug) - very purse friendly indeed!

Before i start ill just say i have normal/dry skin, and although tea tree isn't always recommended for this skin type, i was having a little problem with blemishes, and this is renowned for its spot tackling qualities!
The smell of all 3 products is AMAZING, i could easily sit and smell it all day. This was definitely one of my favourite things about this range - plus we all know tea tree is good for your skin!

Foaming Face Wash
As far as packaging goes, this is the coolest of the 3! In the bottle it appears as a liquid, but you press the top and it dispenses as a foam. I like this idea because you know you're using the right amount of product, and it also makes it last FORVER (i think a little bit of liquid must make a lotta foam!)
It says to use 1 or 2 pumps, but i found 2 dried my skin out slightly. This face wash made my face squeaky clean, and you know when you can really feel something working?
I don't think any other product has made my face feel so clean!

Cleanser and Toner
A cleanser and toner in one = less faff on = right up my street!
If you're a little crappy at sticking to an elaborate skin routine, then something like this would be perfect for you, as it cuts down the number of steps.
I would always apply this with a cotton pad, and its glides onto the skin smoothly, and as with the foam wash you can feel it getting into your skin.
If you're having a particularly dry skin day, or are in a rush, you could actually skip this step, because the face wash does such a good job, that your face is already squeaky clean and refreshed.

Moisturiser
Of all 3 products, this was the least pleasing. Yes it did the job - it left my face feeling moisturised, soft, and smelling of tea tree, but i think you could easily use another moisturiser, and still reap all the benefits of the other products. So if you're on a budget, you could get away with just buying the foam wash and 2 in 1 cleanser and toner. (in my opinion of course)
The formula is quite thin, so if you've got dry skin this just might not cut it.
I was disappointed at the fact that because of the design of the packaging (its like a pump bottle) once you're 3/4 of the way down, its impossible to retrieve anymore product, therefore a lot gets wasted - NOT my style!

Overall
This is a skincare routine i found extremely easy to stick to, and as far as price goes, this is definitely the best value for money skincare range I've ever tried.
If you've got dry skin however, i wouldn't recommend this as it can be quite drying, and tea tree is usually recommended for people with oily skin anyway.
I used all 3 products until they ran out, however, the moisturiser didn't really last too long, and next to run out was the cleanser. The foam wash was still going strong months down the line!
Id say for every one bottle of foam wash, you'd need 2 cleanser and toners, and 3 moisturisers, which is pretty silly on the manufactures part. If you made the moisturiser bigger for example, it'd last as long as the other products.

I probably will repurchase these, and they are definitely on my list of favourite products - next time ill just have to buy a few more of everything!

JANUARY FAVOURITES - my first !

This is my first ever favourites of the month post, and I've been so excited to do this! I'm going to do this every month, and i actually found it really useful to see what I've been using the most this month. So here goes...

Skincare
Soap and Glory OFF YOUR FACE cleansing cloths
You've seen these before as i received them in my Hey Big Splendour gift set at christmas. I started suing them straight away, and they get my make up off so well. Normally when i take my makeup off using wipes, a bit of makeup is still visible when i use a cotton pad to cleanse afterwards. With these, there is nothing, and the little exfoliant 'bits' make it feel like its really getting into your skin and removing the days muck! The smell is quite unusual, but what more would i expect from Soap and Glory??

Tea Tree Foaming Face Wash, Cleanser and Toner, and Moisturiser
Well, i only discovered these products a week ago, but they are AMAZING, and the best thing I've used this month. I purchased these because my current skincare routine just wasn't working for me, and so i took action. The next day (can you believe it) my blemishes were pretty much gone. I cannot recommend these products enough, i think these will be my go to skincare brand now, and i will definitely repurchase. The smell is gorgeous, and the moisturiser is really good for my dry skin, and you only need one pump. I can't say enough good things about these products!

Soap and Glory Hand Food, Garnier Intensive 7 Days, Soap and Glory Heel Genius
Ive been using all 3 of these products everyday for the past month, and i absolutely love them.
My hands can become particularly dry throughout the harsh winter months, however Hand Food has made such a difference, and i love the smell. It seems to last forever - ill put it on before i go to bed, and ill wake up still with soft hands, and ill still be able to smell it.
I purchased the Garnier 7 Days because MissBudgetBeauty raves about it, and i was not disappointed! You only need the tiniest amount, as if you use too much it'll make your skin sticky, but it means the product lasts forever. Ive used this over christmas and the whole of January, and there's hardly anything gone from it. Ive already purchased others from the range, but at the great price (currently £2.99 on offer at Superdrug and Sainsburies) i intend to get them all! The shea butter smells so nice, and i can still smell this on my skin the next day.
Heel Genius has been my saviour this month. I was constantly having to use my foot file due to the skin on my feet (I'm a dancer so they get a pretty hard time!) however since i used Heel Genius i have not used my file ONCE. I would even go as far to say the skin on my feet is actually nice now! If i don't find a cheaper foot cream, i will definitely repurchase this, and thats why its been a fave this month.

Vaseline (aloe vera) and ARBONNE Ultra-Hydrating Hand Creme
Everyone owns a vaseline right? I couldn't live without it, the things you can do with this are endless! It has been constantly on my lips this month. Enough said, you all know how good vaseline is !
I received this hand creme in my GlossyBox (december i think) and its been in my handbag since. I'd say I'm about 3/4 of the way through, and i know I've already favourites (is that a word?!?!) a hand cream this month, my hands were in need of a big bit of TLC! I love love love the smell of this, and the quality is brilliant. If i remember rightly though its quite expensive, and i probably won't purchase the full sized version, but its been really lovely to have something in my handbag as a little luxury!

Makeup

17 Hide & Chic (light rose), Garnier BB Cream (light) and Miss Sporty Liquid Concealer (light)
I actually purchased the under eye concealer in december, and I'm pretty sure ill be re-purcashing this ( it was £4.99 but i had a half price voucher). It works really well at covering my circles, and doesn't crease into my skin which a lot of them do. I use this everyday and its still going strong, so it lasts a fair while!
The Garnier BB cream took me a while to purchase because i thought it was a lot of money to spend on something i might not like, but all the positive reviews i read urged me on, and the fact it was on offer in Superdrug! I love the coverage it gives me, yet its really light. Somesaid said it was like 'their skin but better' and i couldn't agree more. And that pretty much sums it up really!
I only recently purchased this concealer, however it is amazing! It covers my blemishes so well, you can't even see them, and i love how its a little smaller than the other concealers i have, so it could be used for travel or in my handbag. The fact i got it free with another Miss Sporty purchase was an added bonus!

This is currently my favourite mascara. I do have fairly long lashes anyway, and when i wear this it looks like I'm wearing false ones. Its supposed to make my bright blue eyes look even brighter, and I'm not sure if it does (I'm going to do a test at some point) but none the less its amazing. It's around £11 - a little more than id usually want to spend on a mascara, but i got this as part of an offer so it worked out quite well. The blue tint reflects differently as the light catches it, which is different to any mascara I've ever had. Ive used this near enough the entire month, and i will continue to do so!

Miss Sporty Lipstick in Malaga, and Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss in Candy Gloss
I recently purchased this lipstick, as it is my all time favourite. It stays on the entire night, whether I'm going for a meal, to a club, or taking part in a 3 hour dance show. It is AMAZING, and such a classic and classy colour. Every girl needs this in their life! This month ive been feeling a bit old school, and so retro curls, flicky liquid eyeliner and long lashes have been a staple look for me (yes i am obsessed with the 40s and 50s, and of course Marilyn Monroe)
I received this lip gloss in my Hey Big Splendour gift set, and at first i was horrified at the very strong tingly sensation i wasn't expecting, as this is my first Soap and Glory lip gloss. The lasting power of this gloss is brilliant, and I'm now used to the tingle, which feels quite nice on my lips when the weather is freezing (is that weird?!) The colour is very 'wintery' id say, and I'm loving the taste.

So theres my first favourites of the month, what ya think?? Ive probably listed a few too many products, but as the weather is so cold and harsh to my skin i find myself using more products (especially skincare) which is reflected on the number of favourites i have! I hope you liked it, and if you would like to know any prices i haven't mentioned, please leave a comment and ill try find them for you :)

BIG haul - superdrug/boots

Yesterday i caved. It wasn't a good day for me, as as a treat to myself i splurged, however i am in love with everything I've bought so far, so here it all is. Please note everything i bought was either on offer or part of an offer - i have a good eye for a bargain ;)

(L-R) 17 Blemish Balm in light (£6.99) - i recently purchased the Garnier BB cream, and as this is quite a bit cheaper, i figured i had little to lose and have purchased this, prepare for a comparison review !
17 Peep Show mascara in brown black (£6.29)- i didn't realise it was this shade, as i would've chosen black, but then again i only have 2 brown mascaras, and i usually prefer this shade for the day anyway. As you can kind of see in the photo its quite messy already, and i haven't even used it yet, but I've heard good things about this, and combined with the pretty packaging i couldn't resist.
17 Instant Glow Bronzing Powder (£5.49) - first of all i couldn't believe how big this was for the price! The brilliant leopard print pattern also drew me in, and i loved the idea of the gold infused into the colour. I totally smudged the pattern when i tried to swatch it as you can see in the photo, but i think you get the idea of how it is supposed to look?

These items were in a 3 for 2 offer, so i ended up getting all this £13.28, which isn't the cheapest shop ever, but its nowhere near the most expensive.

These items were 2 for £4.99, so again i couldn't resist!
Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream - this reminds me of the matt glosses from miners, so i was instantly drawn in. However, there seems to be very little product inside, and it could possibly appear the product has dried up, not sure yet!
Collection 2000 Lock N Hold Lipgloss in Twisted Disco 6 - I have 2 others in this range and love love love them - they don't last anywhere near 6 hours, but the smell and moisturising factor makes these glosses a must have!

There is currently an offer in Superdrug in which you get the Miss Sporty concealer free if you buy another product (i think it was just skin products)
Miss Sporty Liquid Concealer in shade 001 Light - I've recently become a fan of liquid concealers, and this was worth £2.99, so to get it free was a bonus!
Miss Sporty LightEnergy Radiant Look in shade 01 Light (£3.49) - I thought this looked and sounded similar to the BB creams I've been recently purchasing, and i am looking for light layers rather than heavy foundations at the minute, and this looked great for that.

My go to brand MUA! I love love love their lipsticks, and for only a pound my aim to buy the whole collection!
MUA  Lipstick in shade 3 - this is a really hot pink, which doesn't show up on this photo, but i will probably wear this at the weekend so ill do some swatches
MUA pro 3 in 1 extreme Contour Liner - This was free with any MUA product can you believe it?? So i got both these for £1! I think the excitement took over me, as i didn't realise there were different shades of this liner, and i happened to pick up shade 5 Auburn, which i suppose worked out well as i have tons of black liners. Considering this is so cheap to buy anyway, the packaging is really sleek and sturdy - you would think its much more expensive than it is. What makes this liner different is the angle, and on the back of the box are different ways of using this to get different effects - i can't wait to try it !

I've had my eye on this for a while - GOSH foundation primer CLASSIC. I don't have that many primers, and i read someone's blog saying this was their all time favourite. Ive only ever used cream primers before, and when i tested this it left the back of my hand feeling so velvety i was sold straight away. Oh and of course it was in the sale at £10.99

This caught my eye on my way out the shop, and as I've only just looked at the receipt now i did NOT realise it was £7.99, as it was marked on the shelf as considerably cheaper, which is what brought me to it in the first place! Well anyway, i am just a normal girl with body parts id like to improve, and I'm going to rub this on the tops of my legs everyday til it runs out, then do a big review for you all, and if it works i might just have to repurchase it !

I've recently had a breakout, so I'm on a mission to better my skin for good. Ive used to cleanser since i can remember, its my go to skincare product, however i thought if I'm going to do this properly i need to go the whole hog.
(L-R) Deep Action cream wash (£1.99) - i felt this would be better for my dry skin than a gel wash, and the product is a really good size for the price
Deep Cleansing lotion (£1.89) - I know i love this product, and i know it works for me, so i have repurchased, and ill probably repurchase a 100 times
Dual Action Moisturiser (2.39) - MissBudgetBeauty raves about this, and she seems to have similar skin to me, so i figured it could also become one of my favourite products

All these products were reduced in price, which is one of the reasons why i chose them, aside from the fact they're one of my favourite skincare brands

I didn't purchase the moisturiser today, so ignore that!
These are the other skin products i purchased in the hope for clear skin.
Foaming Face Wash and Cleanser and Toner - All these products smell amazing, and I've heard they are very good for spot prone skin, and i have currently started using these, so watch out for a big review soon!

THATS EVERYTHING! this has taken me so long to do, i didn't think it would be this long, and i have another haul to do before the day is out!
I hope you enjoyed my bargain haul ( I ended up saving £11.54 in super drug - WOW!) and if you have tried any of these products please let me know what you think.
Also, you all deserve a medal for getting to the end of this haul!

superdrug haul

I admit i made a spend! I'm not consciously trying to save money, but I'm also trying to spend a little less. But when i saw these offers, i just couldn't resist! All of these products are products i have wanted to try, as so many bloggers and you tubers have recommended them, i couldn't wait any longer, and i figured wages are supposed to be spent aren't they?
My first ever 2true products, i can't believe I've gone this long without trying this brand. The products are £1.99 each or 3 for £4.99, and thanks to MissBudgetBeauty recommending these products time and time again i figured i had little to lose if i didn't like them. The product on the left is a brown mascara, in shade 2. I tend to wear brown mascara during the day, for a more natural and understated look, and i am shocked at the quality of this product, as it made my lashes long and full of volume, for just £1.99! (this is almost certainly to be repurchased). The liquid liner is in black, because as you know i love my liquid liner, and am intact rarely seen without, so fingers crossed this is a good one! The concealer is in shade 2, and did provide good coverage, however you have to blend it in straight away otherwise it will sit on your skin. (I'm going to do a whole separate review on this product as  i have only used it once).

The nose strips were again recommended, and i can't wait to try these as I've heard they are so good. There was an offer, which was 2 products for £3.99 (i think) so i couldn't resist getting something else, and i thought a moisturiser is probably going to be most useful to me during the winter. Having thought more about this though i am tempted to purchase the cleanser, toner and face wash, so that i can have a complete tea tree routine, surely it'll then be easier to see the benefits?

I think I've saved the best til last - this was my most exciting buy of the day! Yet again this is all down to MissBudgetBeauty, as hearing her rave that many times about this product its been on my wish list for quite some time. The only thing that was putting me off was the price - £9.99 is a lot to spend on something i might not like isn't it ? The straw that broke the donkeys back was hearing MissBudgetBeauty say in a blog interview this would be the product she would have if she could only have one - how can i ignore that??
So here it is, expect a full review soon!

Have you tried any of these products? If so please tell me what you thought of them !
