Pamper Sunday (my current pamper routine)

If I have no plans on a sunday, I like to give myself a little pamper to set me up for the week ahead, whether it be a 10 minute nail painting session, or a full on head to toe pampering.
I must admit, my pamper routine is a bit all over the place regarding the products I use because we are in between seasons (or we were when i made the video) !

I have found the links for as many things as I could,
enjoy! x

Clean and Clear Morning Energy Review

Clean & Clear Morning Energy Skin Brightening Daily Facial Moisturiser
£3.99

Good Points

* The price - 75ml has lasted my around 6 months, and the fact that i only need 1 or 2 pumps per use makes this really cost effective - and i love it when a little goes a long way!

*The smell - I can only describe this as something that wakes me up the right way on a morning. The papaya and lemon makes this really zesty, and its not one of them smells you get sick of

*The consistency - its thick yet thin. I know that doesn't make sense but basically it comes out quite thick (meaning you only need a little) however when its spread over the face it doesn't create a layer - it sinks into the skin nicely

*Its good for my dry skin - If you follow my blog you'll know I've been at my wits end with  my dry skin, and this is the first time in over a year my skin hasnt been dry. I haven't changed anything else so I'm assuming it must be this!

*Brightens my skin - the 3rd picture down just about depicts the slight sheen this product has, which makes my skin look much more awake on a morning than i actually feel! Its perfect for this time of year when my skin is at its dullest

*It didn't break me out - I'm always anxious before trying a new product as i never quite know how my skin will react, but this was a dream!

*Would repurchase - This is definitely one of my favourite face products for all the above reasons

Not So Good Points

*Its a pump bottle - i don't like the fact that ill get so far down this and ill no longer be able to get anymore out of it despite there being like a quarter left - i hate waste!

*If i was in a rush and just left this on my face would be shiny - obviously it depends what other products you use but i always find i need to use a light powder with this

Overall, id recommend this for someone with slightly dry skin, on a budget, and looking for something that will brighten up your skin at this dull time of year!

Id love to read your comments :)

Holiday Preparation #2 - Skin Care

These are products ive been using in my usual routine, but as with my haircare preparations (here) ive stepped it up to ensure my skin is the best it can possibly be for a week in the sun!

Holiday prep part 5 - here

Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed Face Mask £11 - here

I usually use this once or twice a week, but in the run up to my holiday ive been using this every third day. The beauty of this is that you can use as much or as little as you want, depending on what sort of a week your skin is having (i usually use a grape sized amount which is what is recommended). It states you can either wash it off straight away or leave it for a few minutes - i actually leave this on until it dries, which could be 30-40mins to get the most out of it.

Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Wash £2.99 - here

I simply apply a grape sized amount of this over my face and neck twice daily (be careful - it stings like a bitch if you get it in your eyes) and although i dont really feel like its 'deep action' (theres no exfoliant in it) it leaves my face feeling fresh and smelling minty - if you like that sort of thing.

Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing lotion £2.89 - here

This my holy grail product - i knew i was going to use no other cleanser in my holiday prep. After ive washed my face i apply a small amount to a cotton pad and smooth over my face and neck, paying particular attention to any blemishes.

Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser £3.39 - here

This is the perfect summer moisturiser - its light, cooling and sinks in straight away. I use this once or twice a day after cleansing.

Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On £4 - here

Ive accumulated dark circles from working unsocial hours, so this is a life saver in the run up to holiday! I apply this twice a day after all the steps above, leaving my eyes feeling refreshed and cooled (lovely on these warm summer nights!)

Ive tried not to use too many skincare products as i dont believe in overloading, and luckily ive managed to find the right balance that works for me.

Id love to hear about your skincare preparations/routines!

Holiday Preparation #3 coming soon!

May Favourites

I only have a select number of favourites this month - slightly different from my usual mass of things!
So without further ado...

Soap & Glory Face Soap

This has been my all time favourite this month. I previously tried this a couple times over the winter, but it dried my skin out so much i just couldn't continue. Seen as the summer solves this problem for me and i couldnt see this product go to waste, i decided to use it once again.
I LOVE this product! The smell is amazing, and it no longer dries my skin out, so i may just have to repurchase this for over summer.

Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion

This is my holy grail of skincare - i LOVE it and decided to go back to this after my tea tree cleanser ran out. It doesn't dry out my skin, it attacks blemishes, and leaves my feeling really refreshed - i love using this in the morning!

Garnier BB Cream - Shade Light

The warmer weather means i want a base for my face which gives light coverage, and a colour which isn't too obvious when my face tans - this product is just PERFECT for that

MUA Clear Mascara - Shade 1

I can't believe i actually took a picture of this as its pretty rank (it used to be clear!)
I use this to set my eyebrows, however seen as my hair is now lighter (blogpost to follow) i haven't been filling them in. Instead i just set them with this clear mascara, which works brilliantly as a brow gel.

Wet n Wild Beauty Benefits Blusher

I have loved this product for AGES, but it somehow got lost in the bottom of my drawer! Since switching up my makeup storage, i have rediscovered this product this month, and realised why i loved it.

17 Mirror Shine Lipstick - Shade Belle

I recently discovered these amazing little lipsticks (Thanks to Laura-Jayn) and i now have a few of them. This colour goes on really quite sheer (nowhere near as dark as the photo) and its perfect for a subtle makeup look on a day when its sunny and warm and you just can't be bothered!

So they were my favourites this month - there wasn't many, but i didn't want to rave about the same products i always do! Now I'm back into the swing of blogging, expect much more posts from me - i have lots of things lined up!

March Favourites

Unlike my previous monthly favourites, there is no real order to these, ive kind of just grabbed what i loved and thrown it all together - enjoy!

This has very nearly ran out, and i actually received this quite some time ago in some sort of Fcuk set. You can purchase Fcuk products from Boots, and i can find the bodywash version of this here, but sadly not this actual product. I will admit i only used this this month because it was only half full and i wanted to use it (im on a mission to use up things at the minute) however, i realised that the gorgeous flowery smell, combined with the lightness and speedy soak in time makes this a brilliant body lotion.

This is perfect for spring. Its quite subtle, yet you can build it up, and in certain lighting it looks brighter. Im a great lover of Barry M Nail Paint, and will continue to purchase their polishes, as theyre a winner everytime!
You can purchase this from Superdrug for £2.99 or here

I no longer need to use my Nivea cream, my skin has finally allowed me to switch to something lighter, hooray! This is exactly the sort of smell you want to smell in the morning, its a fresh citrusy smell, and the tiny shimmer particles leave me looking fresh (ive actually been wearing this alone and going out makeup free on many days)
You can purchase this here from Boots for £3.99

I cant believe this hasnt made a favourites post so far, because ive been using it everyday since last summer. It's by Sally Hansen, and although i think its intended to be worn as a gloss, i really dont think it looks right (its almost white when applied). I apply this everyday before i start my makeup routine, and by the time i am done its all soaked in and ready for lipstick/lipbalm/lipgloss.
I purchased this from Discount UK for around £1.99, and unfortunately i cant find this in any drugstores

Unless i robbed a bank i doubt ill be buying this anytime soon, but i absolutely love this free sample. It makes lashes so long and full, i dont know what ill do when this runs out. Im actually considering saving up for this when i have used up all my other mascaras. This really is top quality, and i do think its worth the price, its just unfortunate im on a budget!
You can purchase this here for £22.50 from House of Fraiser

I received this free as a result of another purchase, and i must be the only beauty blogger who hasnt tried Benefit Highbeam (the writing has rubbed off) and i couldnt wait to try this sample sized product. Despite the fact i had no idea what i was doing, i LOVE this product, and i am deifnitely considering purchasing this when it runs out. I have used this everyday this month, and will continue to do so til the day it dies.
You can purchase this here for £18.50 from Boots

An every month favourite is my Miss Sporty Liquid Concealer. Unlucky for me i had a breakout this month, and i practically drenched my face in this (okay a bit of an exaggeration, but you girls understand!) Its perfect for my skin type, and really does cover up those bloody blemishes!
You can purchase this from Superdrug (i think it was £1.99)

This is probably in my favourites every month, ive just repurchased this and i will continue to do so for quite some time. It covers my dark circles so well, and even if i leave the house with no makeup, ill still apply a small amount of this, just because it does its job so well.
You can purchase this here from Boots for £4.99

Filling in my eyebrows is part of my daily routine, and i love this tedbaker brow brush (recieved as part of a Ted Baker eye set), the bristles are really thick, and so set my brows really well. To apply my brows, i use the Vital Radiance brow brush (this was from an ebay shop) which is so precise and despite the fact ive used this near enough everyday since October, no bristles have fallen out (that i can tell anyway)

The lighting really doesnt pick up the lovely colour this is. Ive used this MUA blusher Shade 1 almost everyday this month, purely because it goes on really well, lasts all day, and brightens up my face just the right amount. This can be purchased from Superdrug for £1.

Weve had some lovely warm days in March, and on the first warm day i wore this for the first time, and discovered how much i loved it. Its a really flattering coral colour, although i had to dress down the rest of my makeup in order to compliment this. This is Shade 7, and can be purchased from Superdrug for £1.

I am in LOVE with these, but this has got to be my favourite colour. It almost looks just like my natural lip colour, but more enhanced. It reminds me of what Marilyn Monroe would wear on a day to day basis for a natural look.
This can be purchased here at Boots for £2.99

This is my favourite purchase this month, all thanks to Laura-Jayn and her nude lipstick post. This is the most flattering lip colour i have ever used, and it is most deifnitely my all time favourite lipstick. If you want a natural, yet visible lipstick, this is definitely the one to get. I like the staying power, creamyness, packaging and price of this lipstick, making it an all time favourite. Im actually considering purchasing it again just so i have a backup.
This can be purchased here for £4.59 from Boots

So they were my favourites this month, i know theres been quite a lot, and theyre all a bit jumbled, but this month has seen quite a change in the products ive used due to the change in weather, and the fact that spring has sprung!
