FAB Body Moisturiser Review (Glossybox Product)

You can buy this here for £10.27

Well. This is a really hard review to write because i really can't think of that much to say. I was neither wowed or severely disappointed. Rather than write a paragraph which most people will just skip over i thought id set this out a little different and easier to skim over.

Good points:

*This particular size is perfect for travel or to put in your handbag (i sometimes use these as hand creams - they're for your body right?)

*I could wear this then perfume on the top, because this lotion has no scent so there wasn't a clash of smells that i sometimes find with other products

* The formula is really creamy and feels nice applied to the skin

*It soaks in really quickly which is good for people on the go

*Jennifer Aniston is said to use this brand - if its good enough for her!

*Considering its a travel sized product, it lasted me a good few weeks

Not so good points

* Price - although £10.27 isn't going to break the bank, there are other moisturisers which i absolutely love that cost a fraction of this price

*It didn't leave me moisturised for longer than a day

* It didn't moisturise my dry areas, so if you have dry skin i wouldnt recommend this

*The packaging means you theres product left in the bottle even when you can longer get any out - i hate waste!

*There was no scent - this is something i always notice first about a body product, and i have to say i was a little gutted there was no scent!

Overall this is an average product, but i won't be repurchasing this body moisturiser as i think there are far better moisturisers on the market which are a little more purse friendly!

Holiday Preparation #3 - Bodycare

Going on holiday means bikini. Bikini means exfoliating, moisturising, and generally taking a bit more care of yourself than usual. Granted, ill still look like a little red sausage on the beach, but i will be buffed and bronzed (and hiding behind a big hat).

N Spa Coconut Ice Cream Shower and Bath Gel £3 - Asda

I originally started using this as part of my holiday preparation because the smell reminds me of Pina Colada - of which i will have many on holiday!
Its moisturising, soft on my skin, and i think it goes without saying i use this daily.

Soap and Glory Pulp Friction Foamy Fruity Body Scrub £8 - here

This is my most essential holiday prep product. I usually use this once a week, but for the past month or so ive been using this 2 or 3 times (ive been working a manual job in a warehouse so ive been getting pretty grubbing!). It gets rid of any dirt and dead skin, leaving my skin so smooth. The best exfoliator ive ever used!

Dove Firming Beauty Body Lotion £2.36 - here

I use this daily on my legs, arms and stomach. Im not entirely convinced of its firming qualities, but it smells nice (its smells fresh) and soaks into my skin really nicely, leaving me soft all day.

The Beauty Parlour Anti Cellulite Gel - Superdrug

I use a grape sized amount of this daily on the backs of my thighs - it smells of peppermint, and feels really cool once applied. Ive been using this for the past couple of months and i have noticed an improvement, although it hasnt banished my cellulite completely *sigh*. It has made me feel more confident about braving a bikini though!

Soap and Glory Hand Food £5 - here

If you follow my blog youll know that in the run up to my holiday ive been working as a warehouse operative, which has played war with my hands. Basically my fingertips are so chapped, you cant even see my finger prints. But this has worked wonders - i just use a small amount throughout the day when i feel like it, and my hands are now pretty much back to normal. Thank goodness!

Foot File

Ive been using this every few days, or as needed - i suppose this isnt technically holiday preparation because i do this anyway. Im even taking this on holiday as i usually find i need to use this more as a result of walking round the pool in bare feet etc.

Soap and Glory Heel Genius £5.50 - here

After using the foot file, i apply a small amount to each foot (it has to be a small amount unfortunately as im just about run out!). Again, this is part of my daily routine anyway, but its important as itll mean i have lovely smooth feet for holiday!

I hope youre enjoying my holiday prep series so far, i actually travel tomorrow, but i have quite a few more posts which will either all go up today, or ill schedule them to go up throughout the week!
Enjoy!

holiday preparation #4 coming soon!

Bodyshop Summer Haul

I got body shopped! I maybe spent a little more than i should, but i LOVE the body shop, and i get far too carried away at their parties!

This was actually a free gift, and lets face it, you can never have too many of these!

This isn't the best photo, but I'm going to a separate post on each product anyway.
I saw this, and it seemed perfect for summer. The smell is amazing, and the perfume is a perfect handbag size!
I don't like the smell of musk, but i find the white musk much much nicer!

Invigorate Lotion - Glossybox Review

 Invigorate Lotion
£20 for 300ml
Can be purchased here

Many of you may have received this in your Glossybox a few months ago, and having nearly used this up i feel I'm in a good place to review it!

I must admit my heart sank a little when eyes fell on the packaging, purely because once you get near the bottom of these style bottles, its really hard to get anything out, and so you end up wasting a few applications worth of product.

The next most noticeable thing for me was the SMELL - it smells so strongly of lavender (and not of the other ingredients), i wouldn't recommend applying this then immediately going out for the day, because people will wonder where that lavender smell is coming from. Because it smells so strongly, i recommend either applying very little product, or only applying it to certain areas of your body (i wouldn't cover myself in this). You can probably assume at this point that if you don't like lavender, this definitely ISNT for you!
However.. i found this particularly nice to apply just before i go to bed, and this would be perfect if you have trouble sleeping, as everyone knows lavender helps you sleep.

As a moisturiser, i didn't feel this moisturised me very well at all, and about a hour after i applied this, it was like id never moisturised, the only giveaway was the smell, which didn't actually last much longer.

Overall, i recommend this moisturiser if you like to smell something soothing before you go to bed, or if you want to feel relaxed. However, if you're on a budget like me and have medium to dry skin, you won't be left feeling silky soft, and isn't very kind to your bank balance.

Have you tried this product?
Would you repurchase?

March Favourites

Unlike my previous monthly favourites, there is no real order to these, ive kind of just grabbed what i loved and thrown it all together - enjoy!

This has very nearly ran out, and i actually received this quite some time ago in some sort of Fcuk set. You can purchase Fcuk products from Boots, and i can find the bodywash version of this here, but sadly not this actual product. I will admit i only used this this month because it was only half full and i wanted to use it (im on a mission to use up things at the minute) however, i realised that the gorgeous flowery smell, combined with the lightness and speedy soak in time makes this a brilliant body lotion.

This is perfect for spring. Its quite subtle, yet you can build it up, and in certain lighting it looks brighter. Im a great lover of Barry M Nail Paint, and will continue to purchase their polishes, as theyre a winner everytime!
You can purchase this from Superdrug for £2.99 or here

I no longer need to use my Nivea cream, my skin has finally allowed me to switch to something lighter, hooray! This is exactly the sort of smell you want to smell in the morning, its a fresh citrusy smell, and the tiny shimmer particles leave me looking fresh (ive actually been wearing this alone and going out makeup free on many days)
You can purchase this here from Boots for £3.99

I cant believe this hasnt made a favourites post so far, because ive been using it everyday since last summer. It's by Sally Hansen, and although i think its intended to be worn as a gloss, i really dont think it looks right (its almost white when applied). I apply this everyday before i start my makeup routine, and by the time i am done its all soaked in and ready for lipstick/lipbalm/lipgloss.
I purchased this from Discount UK for around £1.99, and unfortunately i cant find this in any drugstores

Unless i robbed a bank i doubt ill be buying this anytime soon, but i absolutely love this free sample. It makes lashes so long and full, i dont know what ill do when this runs out. Im actually considering saving up for this when i have used up all my other mascaras. This really is top quality, and i do think its worth the price, its just unfortunate im on a budget!
You can purchase this here for £22.50 from House of Fraiser

I received this free as a result of another purchase, and i must be the only beauty blogger who hasnt tried Benefit Highbeam (the writing has rubbed off) and i couldnt wait to try this sample sized product. Despite the fact i had no idea what i was doing, i LOVE this product, and i am deifnitely considering purchasing this when it runs out. I have used this everyday this month, and will continue to do so til the day it dies.
You can purchase this here for £18.50 from Boots

An every month favourite is my Miss Sporty Liquid Concealer. Unlucky for me i had a breakout this month, and i practically drenched my face in this (okay a bit of an exaggeration, but you girls understand!) Its perfect for my skin type, and really does cover up those bloody blemishes!
You can purchase this from Superdrug (i think it was £1.99)

This is probably in my favourites every month, ive just repurchased this and i will continue to do so for quite some time. It covers my dark circles so well, and even if i leave the house with no makeup, ill still apply a small amount of this, just because it does its job so well.
You can purchase this here from Boots for £4.99

Filling in my eyebrows is part of my daily routine, and i love this tedbaker brow brush (recieved as part of a Ted Baker eye set), the bristles are really thick, and so set my brows really well. To apply my brows, i use the Vital Radiance brow brush (this was from an ebay shop) which is so precise and despite the fact ive used this near enough everyday since October, no bristles have fallen out (that i can tell anyway)

The lighting really doesnt pick up the lovely colour this is. Ive used this MUA blusher Shade 1 almost everyday this month, purely because it goes on really well, lasts all day, and brightens up my face just the right amount. This can be purchased from Superdrug for £1.

Weve had some lovely warm days in March, and on the first warm day i wore this for the first time, and discovered how much i loved it. Its a really flattering coral colour, although i had to dress down the rest of my makeup in order to compliment this. This is Shade 7, and can be purchased from Superdrug for £1.

I am in LOVE with these, but this has got to be my favourite colour. It almost looks just like my natural lip colour, but more enhanced. It reminds me of what Marilyn Monroe would wear on a day to day basis for a natural look.
This can be purchased here at Boots for £2.99

This is my favourite purchase this month, all thanks to Laura-Jayn and her nude lipstick post. This is the most flattering lip colour i have ever used, and it is most deifnitely my all time favourite lipstick. If you want a natural, yet visible lipstick, this is definitely the one to get. I like the staying power, creamyness, packaging and price of this lipstick, making it an all time favourite. Im actually considering purchasing it again just so i have a backup.
This can be purchased here for £4.59 from Boots

So they were my favourites this month, i know theres been quite a lot, and theyre all a bit jumbled, but this month has seen quite a change in the products ive used due to the change in weather, and the fact that spring has sprung!
