A Hair Transformation...

During the winter, i dyed my hair a dark brown a couple of times (not as much as i should have done if i was doing root upkeep) as everyone said i suited my hair much more when it was darker (and there just so happened to be a brown hair dye on offer)

I then decided i wanted to be more my natural colour (which is dark ash blonde), so i basically didn't dye my hair for ages, leaving it to fade. I then found out about John Frieda Go Blonde thanks to MissBudgetBeauty , and it sounded perfect for me. I didn't want to full on dye my hair, just naturally lighten it (you know like when people come back from holiday?)
I started off by applying the shampoo, leaving that on while i exfoliated and washed etc, then leaving the conditioner on for a hour in a shower cap, which worked really well. I then just used it as a normal shampoo and conditioner, leaving the conditioner in only while i washed. After a few days i could see a noticeable difference.

It then just so happened my best friend's friend is training to be a hairdresser, and wanted people to train on, which resulted in me getting some highlights (not a full head, just some subtle ones under my parting). After using the John Frieda Go Blonde for 2 weeks, and then getting a few highlights, this is what my hair now looks like...

(I'm on the left)

I have continued to use the John Frieda, which along with the little bit of sun we've had has made my highlights even lighter, and although I've found this product to be everything and more than i hoped, i won't be repurchasing purely for the fact i like what its done so far, and i don't want to go too light.

So there we are, my hair is now a miss mash of lighter colours, much closer to my natural colour, and hopefully my roots won't be too bad!

Let me know what you think !

My First BAD Review.. Temporary Lip Tattoos

This picture pretty much sums the whole thing up.

Basically for our recent dance competition we decided we wanted to be all fancy and sparkly and wear these..

...which resulted in me ordering 10 pairs for us , (£1.99 each) from ebay. Some of the other girls and I had already used these before, so we knew what we were getting into - or so we thought.

We all cut them to size together, and about 30 minutes before we were due to dance, we began the application process.
THESE DID NOT WORK AT ALL.

Not one pair of lip tattoos stuck, and no matter how much we tried, there was just no sticking. Had this been just me applying them by myself, i would've just assumed i had done something wrong, but when 9 girls failed to get 1 pair to stick...

Its actually a real shame these didn't work, because as you can see from the photos they are  pure glitter, and would've looked amazing on stage. Instead we had to make do with some red lippy and red glitter, which actually probably looked better in the end!

NOTD - a simple nude

If you live in England, the chances are the weather is shit. Yes we had a few days of lovely sunshine and if you're anything like me you gave yourself a pedicure, got all your maxi dresses and cardigans out, only for it to come over dark and rain non stop for a week.

This is the perfect colour for right now (Collection 2000- shade Milkshake), as its not too summery, but it also means we don't have to retreat to the darker shades we'd wear in winter!

Being a nude, it goes with pretty much anything, so if your hastily pulling your winter jumpers and fluffy socks from the back of the wardrobe, you won't look too mismatched
:)

May Favourites

I only have a select number of favourites this month - slightly different from my usual mass of things!
So without further ado...

Soap & Glory Face Soap

This has been my all time favourite this month. I previously tried this a couple times over the winter, but it dried my skin out so much i just couldn't continue. Seen as the summer solves this problem for me and i couldnt see this product go to waste, i decided to use it once again.
I LOVE this product! The smell is amazing, and it no longer dries my skin out, so i may just have to repurchase this for over summer.

Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion

This is my holy grail of skincare - i LOVE it and decided to go back to this after my tea tree cleanser ran out. It doesn't dry out my skin, it attacks blemishes, and leaves my feeling really refreshed - i love using this in the morning!

Garnier BB Cream - Shade Light

The warmer weather means i want a base for my face which gives light coverage, and a colour which isn't too obvious when my face tans - this product is just PERFECT for that

MUA Clear Mascara - Shade 1

I can't believe i actually took a picture of this as its pretty rank (it used to be clear!)
I use this to set my eyebrows, however seen as my hair is now lighter (blogpost to follow) i haven't been filling them in. Instead i just set them with this clear mascara, which works brilliantly as a brow gel.

Wet n Wild Beauty Benefits Blusher

I have loved this product for AGES, but it somehow got lost in the bottom of my drawer! Since switching up my makeup storage, i have rediscovered this product this month, and realised why i loved it.

17 Mirror Shine Lipstick - Shade Belle

I recently discovered these amazing little lipsticks (Thanks to Laura-Jayn) and i now have a few of them. This colour goes on really quite sheer (nowhere near as dark as the photo) and its perfect for a subtle makeup look on a day when its sunny and warm and you just can't be bothered!

So they were my favourites this month - there wasn't many, but i didn't want to rave about the same products i always do! Now I'm back into the swing of blogging, expect much more posts from me - i have lots of things lined up!

Collective Haul

This haul is wayyyyyy overdue, but I've basically had some important deadlines for university, had to quit my job, and try and get everything organised, so its been a bit hectic the past few weeks!

These are my new love. They are £4.99 each, and they are the best thing ever! Ive already done a post using Magnetic Blue, but there will be many more to come !

These are stunning, the silvery lilac reminds me of a mermaid, its got so many colours in it, and although i wouldn't say its a typical spring colour, i can't wait to wear this and differ from the usual pastels you see at this time of year.
Denim has so much glitter in it, i can't wait to see if it appears the same on my nails!

Im currently trying to find an eye primer that compares to Lemonaid by Benefit, so when i saw this for £1.49 i couldn't resist! This was from Boyes.

I initially went into Boots to purchase the Maybeline Colour Tattoos every man and his dog are raving about, but that didn't quite go to plan! The 17 stand was right next to Maybeline, and seeing the 17 Wild Metallics Eyes in a realllyyyy similar colour (and a cheaper price) i opted for this. And seen as 17 were on 3 for 2, i couldn't resist picking up 3 things!

These little nail art stickers were around £1, for 10 of these little sheets, each with different stickers! I got these off Ebay, and I've already tried some, so expect a post very soon!

Ive been watching numerous videos and posts about Ciate nails and their new collection, but i just cannot afford £18 for some little beads. There are so many tutorials on YouTube, and one i came across said she bought the tiny beads off Ebay for £1.99 a packet, so i followed suit! The bags are really quite big, and have so much more in them than the Ciate nail polish bottle. I can't wait to give these a go!

These were around 99p from Ebay also, and they are nail transfers - I've never tried these before, and think they'd look really good over red or yellow polish. Stay tuned to find out!!

And finally...
My easter present.....

This perfume smells GORGEOUS. Im not actually a fan of Justin Bieber, but this was a gift, and the perfume is so sweet and fresh, i cannot stop wearing it!

For all you Biebster fans...
