August Favourites

Seen as my last months favourites were late, this seems to have come around so quick! A lot of these favourites were things i took on holiday and loved, so without further ado...

Collection 2000 Colour Match Foundation

I got this from Poundland believe it or not! After a week abroad my skin is definitely a few shades darker, but i didn't want to spend much money on a foundation ill only be using for the next couple of months. This is really smooth, and although its dark, its not too dark and like it says on the bottle, it really does blend into your skin colour.

Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades in Blushalicious (3.99) Boots - here

This was the only blusher i took on holiday so i used this everyday. Its SO pigmented and it will last me ages as you only need the tiniest amount on your brush. I haven't really used the bottom right shade, but i love all the others - i generally use a little of each on my cheeks everyday for a summery look

No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara in Black (12.50) Boots - here

I took 2 mascaras on holiday, and didn't even use the other one because this is so amazing. It makes my lashes really long and full, its easy to take off, and the brush feels like i gets right in-between each lash.

MAC Plusglass in Ample Pink (17) - here

Ive been wearing this during the day this month, as it seems to just go perfectly with whatever makeup i am wearing, not to mention it smells absolutely gorgeous. Its a subtle nude with a tiny hint of pink, and i always get compliments on this!

17 Ultimate Volume Lipgloss in Butterfly Cake (3.99) Boots - here

I wore this most evenings on holiday, and found its really stunning when the light catches it. Its a pretty pink with a subtle gold shimmer which is what makes it catch the light. It lasted even after a meal, and its in no way sticky - intact it was so smooth i couldn't stop rubbing my lips together!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain (5.99) Boots - here

I LOVE everything about this, the minty smell, the way it feels on my lips, and of course the colour. Its the perfect summer colour, but i will still be using this throughout the autumn as its just too good not to!

Bourjois 1 Second Gel Nail Polish Shade 14 - £5.99
(The false nails are Kiss)

I definitely saved the best til last! It was my birthday on the 1st September, and i luckily found this just in time - this is most definitely my favourite nail polish EVER. I felt like a true disney princess when i put this on
:)

My Lip Balm Collection

Like my body butter post, this post is also inspired by this cold weather we've been having. Like a lot of girls, my lips need extra care throughout the winter months, and i have sooo many lip balms, I'm never short of something to grab. So lets get to it.

I got these for my 19th birthday, and i LOVE them, i don't know why i haven't used them more! They smell amazing, and the packaging is really stylish. The one on the left is Powder Pink (942) and the one on the right is Bare Minimum (963)
You can buy these here

Vaselineeeeeee. Everybody owns vaseline don't they ! The reason i have so many is because i received the big sized tin with 4 vaselines inside as a gift for christmas.

These are my most recent lip balm purchases, and they're really similar to the Sleek Put Polishes. I love anything themed, and these love heart lip balms had me sold straight away. I would've got them all but they had sold out!
You can buy these from Superdrug, but hurry because i believe they are limited edition!

My boyfriend knows me very well, and got me this vitamin water lip balm in Fruit Punch on his lunch hour when they came free with vitamin water. The smell is AMAZING, and its SPF 15, so ill be sure to wear this everyday during summer!
I got the Burts Bees lip balm off ebay, so it was really cheap - but i can't decide about this one. Its really thick, so you have to apply a decent amount of pressure for it to actually go on. Its so minty, and i don't know why, but its really nice to apply just after you've brushed your teeth!

I got these free with my Boots points in the January sales. I don't know what make they are, but all the products from this range are a fairground/circus theme? Maybe that helps! They smell great, but its a subtle smell, which is really nice for daytime.

These are all Bodyshop. Ive had these for quite some years now, so ill maybe throw them away soon. The Passionberry (left) and Strawberry (right) smell just like they're supposed to, but the Guarana lip balm in the middle absolutely blew my socks off! The smell is so nice, i don't even use this much anymore, i just smell it. Its so fruity and refreshing, i wish i could describe it better but there aren't really any words!

I got this Bodyshop Shea Lip Butter free at christmas as part of an offer, and it hasnt even been used. I figured i may aswell use up a few things i already have before i delve my finger into another! The w7 pina colada is one of my favourite lip balms, purely because pina colada is my favourite drink. I only use this throughout the summer, purely because it makes me feel like I'm on holiday! The far right lip balm is a random i got in a set, and although i haven't actually used it yet, the papaya and mango smell is lovely.

These are randoms from Primark i got in a set a few christmas ago, and i haven't really used these much, but i am going to, purely so i can use them up and throw them away. The packaging is probably the best part about these, and the dainty little pots actually look decorative on my dressing table.

Just Pink by Next is my favourite lip balm of all time. It tastes gorgeous, and the subtle shimmer i leaves on your lips is beautiful. I will most definitely repurchase this (i think its around £2)
The lip balm on the right is a random which i got in a set when i bought a bag. I can't think of the brand, its on the tip of my tongue - maybe someone can help me out? Anyway, i haven't really used this as its completely odourless, which is slightly boring!

These are from Primark, and were £1.50 each, however they're currently on offer for £1. I love these, purely for the taste and smell. The only problem is the screw is a bit temperamental, and I've had to throw a couple away simply because it stopped working, yet i still continue to repurchase these!

I don't even want to use these because i don't want them to run out! They smell just like the cocktails they are supposed to be, ill probably end up eating them at some point.

And finally, this is from the Bodyshop, and smells just like christmas. Its also quite thick, which is perfect for winter months!

So that was my lip balm collection, thanks for getting to the end! Since i started to write this post, the sun has come out and the weather has begun to get warmer.
 Typical.

My body butter collection

I was inspired to do this post simply because of the weather we've been having. I don't know about you, but in this weather i need that extra bit of moisture, which body butters give because they are thicker. After rearranging my bedroom this weekend (thats another post) i now have a wobbly tower of body butters looking at me, so i thought id show you what i have...

This was part of last years christmas range, and although it does smell christmassy, its the sort of smell that can be used in the months before and after christmas (i personally wouldn't use it for summer, its just not that sort of smell for me!)

This is christmas in a tub. This is a body butter which can only be used over christmas as its so strongly smelling, hence why i haven't really used much.

This has such a strong scent - perfect for summer! I must admit i kind of force myself to use these during the summer because they're so thick, and i prefer lighter coverage.

Again this smells gorgeous, a little subtler than the passion fruit one, but still brilliant none the less. I have a kind of love/hate relationship with Body Shop body butters because although i love the packaging and actual product, they're a little out of my budget at £12 a pop. None of these body butters were purchased full price, i waited til there was a sale of some sort, which has worked out much better for my purse!

This was 99p from my local Home Bargains store - I'm not sure if this a UK thing, or just local area thing. Anyhow, i fully recommend these, they're a fraction of the price from Body Shop, and they're not much different. Infact, there is an extra 20ml in these DermaV body butters - winner!

Soap and Glory are a real luxury for me. Theres nothing better than exfoliating with Pulp Fiction, washing with Clean on Me, then lathering myself in Righteous Butter, and finally a spritz of Mist You Madly. I try to use this on special occasions only, so it doesn't run out, as its not the cheapest thing in the world!

This smells like what you would want your bed sheets to smell like, you know that fresh cotton smell? Well this is it. I will say though, it borders on a granny smell, but its so subtle it kind of avoids that (just).

So thats my collection of body butters. If you know anything about my blog you'll know i always want to expand my collection (although maybe i should actually use a few of these first) so if you have any recommendations, or have tried any of these, please comment!
