I love the fact that with the warmer weather comes different beauty trends, and there's something about summer that makes me want to be adventurous with my makeup (which for me, blue eyeliner is about as far as that goes). However, summer isn't all about bright eyes, so heres an understated summer bronze look for you!

Current trend - My Favourite Orange Lips, Nails and Clothing

Here on my blog I love a good 'trend' - its always exciting when something new pops up and everyones all for it, and I do love a bit of orange!

Barry M Natural Glow Palette First Impressions (with video)

Ive had my eye on this palette for quite some time now, as whenever I've tried to purchase it previous it's been sold out - obviously meaning its amazing right?! 

I love the idea of trying out a product and filming my first impressions as lets face it they 

are important! 

Since filming this I have used it many more times, and LOVE it, so you can expect a review very soon, which I will of course link below when the time comes :)

Barry M Blusher Brush Review

Brushes are the hardest thing for me to review - they're like perfumes, hard to describe and unless one really stands out to me I forget to talk about it. Having had this for around two years i now feel in a position to be able to give you a bit more than 'its nice'…

Good points

*The price - these days you don't get a lot for £5 in the way of makeup brushes, but this really is a steal when you consider the quality

*Quality - the bristles are very soft and intact not at all 'bristly', and in the years I've been using it i can't remember one falling out, unlike many of my most expensive brushes!

*Appearance - I'm a sucker for anything pretty, and this does look lovely in my brush pot, although they've since changed the design which i must admit is even more cute

*Application - theres something about this brush that means I only have to use such a small amount of product (no matter what blush I'm using) meaning my blushes last a tremendous amount of time

*Even finish - even for the most unskilled hands your blush would still look flattering, this doesn't streak across your face, and is very good for blending, so theres no looking like a russian doll with this one

Not so good points

*The first time i washed this, understandably a little water got into the metal bit (such technical terms) and the head promptly fell off the handle, which was nothing a bit of eyelash glue didn't sort out but still its not ideal

Overall i do recommend this brush, particularly for beginners and those who like a bit of colour in their brush pot, you can buy this here for £4.99

NOTD - Barry M Magnetic Purple

Magnetic nails were one of my favourite discoveries of 2012. They're so easy and so cheap, but they really don't look like that. Two years later, whenever i wear these, i still get compliments and its always a topic of conversation.

Since then, BarryM have brought out a whole host of colours, all winter shades i must admit but i still love them nonetheless! 

My only gripe is that for some reason the magnetic polishes have less staying power than the regular BarryM colours, but i truly feel its worth it just to have this look for a couple of days

Technique wise, these couldn't be easier to use and I've even been known to do these in the car on my way to a party before - they're THAT easy!

If you've followed my blog for some time you'll know that BarryM was one of the first even brands i got into, and i would regularly use my weekly pocket money to buy the brightest shade of polish i could find - 8 years later and not much has changed, I just now have a collection with enough nail polish to paint a country.

September Favourites

Firstly, if you've read my last post you'll know i had no camera, however i just couldn't stand not being able to postpone my September Favourites any longer! Ive had to take these pictures using my phone, so understandably they're a bit hit and miss!

Ive been having a bit of a greasy hair month throughout September - i need to find a new shampoo! This has been my saviour, and gives me that extra day between washes.

My hands have definitely felt the wrath of the cold weather, and this is doing just the trick - so much so I've nearly used it all! :(

This is also nearly ran out, yet it continues to make my lashes long and thick - this will always be a winner in my eyes!

Ive actually used this up this month, thats how much i love it! It reminds me of being in New York, so this is a very nostalgic smell for me!

These are amazing, I've just wrote a review on these to expect that very soon! They've given my lips just what they need in this cold weather

Barry M Nail Paint in Rasberry £2.99 - here

I LOVE this - i will be wearing this all Autumn - its the perfect colour for this time of the year, and its really chip resistant, which is what we need when wearing dark nail colours! This is definitely my all time favourite product this month, and you'll probably see it next month too!

My other favourites include a MAC blusher brush (129SE - here) and a Barry M Shimmering Eye and Lip Crayon £4.59 (here) (these pictures wouldn't upload). Ive used both these products daily and find the quality amazing. 

Non-beauty Favourites

The Hills - I've just started watching these from the beginning - 'you know what you did', Whitney falling down the stairs, and THAT rumour - what more could i want?

Galaxy Ripples - enough said really, these are divine and i need to stop eating them!

NOTD: DIY French Manicure

There will come a time in our lives when bright nails aren't appropriate, or we want to feel posh. A french manicure is perfect for these times, and with a little practice, theres no reason why we can't do one ourselves! 

Of course there are hundreds of polishes out there you can use to do this, but these are the ones i like to use.

L.A colours in French Nails Pink - here

OPI RapiDry TopCoat - here

Barry M Nail Paint in Matt White - here

The steps could not be simpler!

1. Paint 2 coats of a half moon shape over the white part of your nail (if you have shorter nails, you can cheat and make your white bit look longer ;) ) and wait to dry.

2. Paint 1 coat of the pink (i found that 2 coats don't work with this particular polish) and wait to dry.

3. Use a top coat to keep manicure in place for longer

4. Wear pretty jewellery on your hands so that everyone notices your lady like hands!
